VSI is looking to fill full-time Material Handler positions at an industrial location in Paris,IL on second shift. 

The Material Handler is responsible for operating industrial power equipment as needed to complete assigned tasks.  This person is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, providing high quality service levels, adhering to company policies, and assisting to provide a safe working environment.  This person must be energetic, enthusiastic, and possess great interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of people and maintain a strong commitment to customer service. 

• Run a sweeper/scrubber to clean factory floors 

• Use a forklift to pick up trash hoppers 

• Operate industrial powered vehicles to move material 

• Operate a woodchipper and reciprocating saw 

• Stack and band boxes, bale cardboard and process inventory 

• Maintain and clean outdoor yard area 

• Respond to dispatch assignments e.g., cleaning under conveyor belts and changing light bulbs 

• Maintain a safe work environment 

• Complete other duties as assigned 

Skills and Abilities 

• Must be 18 years or older 

• Must have reliable transportation 

• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions, either orally or in writing 

• Must follow all health and safety requirements 

• Good communication skills 

• Customer-oriented and friendly 

Education and Experience 

• High school diploma or GED 

• Forklift operation training 

Physical Requirements 

• Stand and walk for long periods of time 

• Repeat the same movements 

• Frequent bending and twisting 

• Able to lift, push & pull 50lbs 

• Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends 

• Full Time- 2nd Shift- Monday thru Friday 4pm-12:30am
• Pay Range- $17-$19/hr
