Since its founding, Vonachen Group has evolved into a full-service facility maintenance leader that provides janitorial services, healthcare services, logistics and special services for a wide range of clients throughout Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Alabama, Nebraska and Tennessee.
We are looking to fill this position in the Huntsville, AL area.
The primary job responsibility will be required to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, providing high quality service levels, maintaining proper supply levels, adhering to company policies and ensuring a safe working environment.
Clean walls, vents, screens, furniture, drinking fountains, light fixtures, window blinds, brass, and other interior fixtures.
Wash interior and exterior windows and glass doors.
Clean and empty trash cans.
Sweep entryways, empty exterior cigarette urns and empty trashcans immediately outside building entrances.
Clean restrooms, plunger sinks and toilets, and replenish supplies.
Organize and supply custodial closets as needed.
Move, remove, and/or setup furniture, furnishings, supplies, equipment, and any other items, inside specified rooms for special functions as directed.
Follow prescribed safety regulations and informs management of potential risks or hazards.
Complete work requests to notify management of needed repair work
Remove snow and ice and apply salt and/or ice melting products to assigned areas.
Make minor repairs such as, but not limited specifically to, replacing sweeper belts or removing light fixture covers as required.
Other duties as directed by Supervisor.
Must be willing to learn new procedures and techniques for completing tasks during training sessions.
The position will include bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, a lot of walking and lifting up to 40 pounds.
A criminal background check, results of which are not necessarily a bar to employment is required.
