Kenway Janitor Services is looking to fill a floor care technician/lead project position in the Louisville, KY area. This person needs also needs to have knowledge with small repairs on Janitorial equipment.
Although this position is labeled "Floor Care Technician" when there are no floors to scrub, strip, wax, or carpet to clean this position will act as a floater doing some janitorial work, tour prep, or anything that may be directed by Supervisors.
Job duties include buffing floors, stripping, waxing, shampooing carpet and scrubbing floors.
Oversee floor operations (primarily second shift).
Supervise and motivate employees assigned to this team.
Experience with stripping, waxing, and using a side to side buffer preferred.
Handling office tasks, such as generating reports and reordering supplies.
Establish and maintain open lines of communication with customer.
Ensure proper usage of supplies and equipment through the training and development of employees.
Monitor and schedule daily work hours of employees under your supervision.
Be able to operate and teach subordinates how to safely operate and maintain all types of cleaning machinery and equipment.
Applicant must be reliable and have an eye for detail.
Understanding budgets assigned to this position.
Train employees how to safely use chemicals and provide safe working environment.
Adhere to company guidelines for employee discipline and termination procedures.
Respond to emergency situations in a timely and efficient manner.
Resolve and follow-up on all complaints/issues.
Schedule and monitor periodic work.
Handle other assignments as directed by Regional Manager and Director.
