Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Welding Assistant position at a manufacturing plant in Des Moines, IA. Job duties include experience in painting, spray painting, scissor lift, articulating lifts and aerial lifts, welding, floor work, light construction and forklift operation preferred but not required. Will assist workers in welding,metal fabrication, wire welding brazing and arc cutting. Moves work pieces, tools, and supplies.Skills Required
Applicant must be reliable and have an eye for detail. The position will include bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, a lot of walking and lifting up to 40 pounds. Must pass a background check and drug test. Candidate must have welding experience with a preference of 6 months.Additional Details
Pay Rate Range - $13 -14 / hour / based on experience.
Full Time benefits to include: Medical, Dental, Vision, STD and 401K.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 0630am-0300pm! We are looking for individuals with attention to detail and are open to learn. Candidate must work well as a team and have some welding experience. We prefer the candidate to be certified and at least 6 months experience. We do offer on the job training and provide PPE required!
