Responsibilities
VSI (Vonachen Services Inc) is looking for a Supervisor of Receiving to work at an industrial location in Pontiac, IL. Job duties include overseeing receiving operations by ensuring invoices and counts are verified as shipments arrive, entries of shipments are made in MFG Pro, shipments missing packing slips are tracked in excel, receipt tags are attached to materials, and that departments are notified of arrival of materials. This position will oversee a team of fork truck drivers who deliver received materials to the appropriate department as well as provide trash pickup and other duties. The position also includes oversight of a team which tears down assembled parts and a plastic wash tank station. While this is primarily a first shift position, coordination of work across all shifts is a requirement.
Skills Required
Strong detail orientation, experience receiving materials in an industrial environment preferred. General computer skills including Excel is very important. Familiarity with MFG Pro is a plus. Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, as well as comfort working in a combination of climate controlled office and receiving dock area with temperatures that vary with the season.
Additional Details
