Responsibilities
Vonachen Group is looking to fill a Safety Training Consultant opening at our corporate office in Peoria, IL. This position is responsible for the programs to ensure safety compliance across the organization. This includes providing occupational safety or operational training on demand, developing occupational safety programs, monitoring compliance at customer locations, monitoring and reporting on performance, and investigating accidents, mishaps and incidents. Assist the Director of Safety as needed in ensuring mishap and incident free operations.Skills Required
Four-year degree in Occupational Safety or Risk Management or comparable work experience in occupational safety and insurance plus 3 years work experience.Experience developing and managing a safety program, Knowledge of OSHA regulations. Capability to train employees in OSHA Required Programs including but not limited too; GHS Hazard Communications, Bloodborne Pathogens, Control of Hazardous Energy, Permit-Required Confined Space Entry, Fall Prevention, Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response, Powered Industrial Trucks, and Aerial Lifts etc. Capability to train and certify employees to operate required industrial equipment such as, but limited to sweeper scrubbers and utility carts and vehicles. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
