Accent Specialty Services, a Vonachen family company, is looking to fill a full-time, second-shift Lead General Cleaner position in a school system located in Marinette, WI. The Ideal candidate for this position will be energetic, responsible, detail-oriented, flexible in scheduling and have reliable transportation. This permanent, full-time position is available immediately and is a highly visible position with Accent requiring excellent customer service and multitasking skills. This position will supervise fifteen General Cleaners working on various shifts, in multiple school locations and will be a working leader completing cleaning duties in addition to supervisory, managment and customer interaction duties.
Responsibilities
A Lead General Cleaner is responsible for supervising general cleaners, mentoring and training employees to clean and sanitize various spaces which could include offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, hallways, locker rooms, and public areas. Snow shoveling and salting sidewalks / entryways are also general cleaner position duties that are required during weather incidents as needed.
- Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning, etc)
- Gather and empty trash recepticles
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and equipment
- Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Ability to learn how to operate a floor scrubber - will train
- Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning, etc)
Skills Required
- A minum of two years management experience desired
- No janitorial experience required, we provide on the job training
- Successful candidates will be reliable, have strong attention to detail, be flexible on occasion and are able to work independently
- Able to meet physical requirements, such as lifting up to 40lbs, bending, twisting, climbing stairs and standing for duration of shift
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age for consideration
- Must pass a background screening
Additional Details
This is a full-time, second shift Lead General Cleaner position typically working a varied schedule between 7:00AM and 11:00PM Monday through Friday with occassional weekend hours depending upon weather. The hourly payrate is $16.00 per hour. Candidates will need to be able to lift 40lbs, twist, bend, climb up and down stairs, sweep, mop, vacuum, disinfect bathrooms and general clean up after students. Operation of a floor scrubber will also be required (will train on operation). Shoveling snow and salting sidewalks / entryways during / after inclement winter weather will be required. This includes early arrival and occassional weekend work for snow removal as needed.
