DSI (Diversified Services for Industry), a Vonachen Family company is currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join our team as a general cleaner for a industrial facility in Davenport, IA. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented. A general cleaner is responsible for keeping the facility clean, orderly and in functional condition. Duties include but are not limited to cleaning factory and building office spaces, bathrooms, break areas, washing walls, wiping and washing tables, exterior and interior windows, deep cleaning carpets, and emptying of various trash/recycling containers. Additional duties could involve in helping to set up tables/chairs for meetings, conferences and VIP visits.,
Responsibilities
1st shift primary duties: General upkeep and first response cleaning of all factory restrooms, breakrooms, conference rooms, common areas, entry/exits, gather and empty trash/recycling. First response cleaning to any requests, spill response and disinfecting.
2nd/3rd shift primary duties: detailed/deep cleaning of all office spaces, factory restrooms, breakrooms, conference rooms, common areas, entry/exits, spill response and disinfecting. Restocking of paper products, gather and empty trash/recycling. Set-ups for meetings, conferences, and VIP visits
Skills Required
1st shift desired skills: Knowledge of cleaning products and application, detail oriented (cleaning corners and edges), ability to change tasks frequently. The ability to work independently with little supervision and having great interpersonal skills with staff and also facility employees is important. Willingness to work in a fast pace, factory setting is important.
2nd/3rd shift desired skills: Knowledge of cleaning products and application, detail oriented (cleaning corners and edges), ability to change tasks frequently. Knowledge of floor cleanig machinery (ride on sweeper/scrubber, walk behind sweeper/scubber, floor buffers, industiral vacuums), knowledge of painting machines and techniques. The ability to cross train and assist in the industrial cleaning is beneficial. The ability to work as a team to accomplish nightly goals is important.
No janitorial experience required, we provide on the job training. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and may have to wear a respirator.
Additional Details
The pay rate is $13.50/hour for 2nd shift. The pay rate is $14.00/hr for 3rd shift.
The work schedule is Monday - Friday, 2nd Shift (2:30pm-10:30pm) and 3rd shift (10:30pm-6:30am).
