Responsibilities
VSI (Vonachen Services Inc) is looking to fill a floor care technician/project position at a manufacturing facility in Fort Madison, IA. Job duties include buffing floors, stripping old wax and applying a new wax coat, shampooing carpet and scrubbing the no-wax floors. When there are no special floor projects this person would assist with any daily tasks needing to be completed such as a janitor route, operating a ride on sweeper scrubber, and assisting with recycling.Skills Required
Experience with stripping, waxing, and using a side to side buffer preferred, but not required. Applicant must be reliable and have an eye for detail. The position will include bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, a lot of walking and lifting up to 40 pounds. Must have a strong sense of work quality and be capable of working in a heavy manufacturing environment. Must pass a background check and drug screen.Additional Details
The pay rate is $13-15/hour based on experience with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k) and STD, vacation and holidays.
Full-time, 2nd Shift.
$13-$15 Depending on experience
-Minor travel (within two hours) required but back home nightly-van is provided
-Primarily a second shift position, but some day shift hours are required
-Primarily M-F position but may require occasional weekend shifts
-Safe driving record
-6 to 8 hours per night
-Floorcare (hard floors and carpet) experience is helpful but not necessary
-Good communication skills and customer service skills
-Ability to complete tasks while working alone
-Ability to take direction
-Attention to detail and ability to make minor repairs
