Accent Services Inc., a Vonachen family company, is actively hiring for an Area Operations Manager to oversee custodial services for multiple large school districts in the Marinette, WI / Menominee, MI area. Essential responsibilities of this career opportunity will include overall custodial management, training front line staff members, coaching, quality control, scheduling, budget management/maintenance, cleaning and ensuring a positive and proactive safety culture. This position will be the front line customer contact for our account and strong relationship management, leadership and communications skills are required. The hours for this position will vary between first and second shifts but are primarily second shift between the hours of 2:00PM and 11:00PM. Scheduling flexibility is required at the direction of our Regional Operations Manager. This is a full-time, salaried position with Vonachen Group / Accent Specialty Services with a wage range of $40K to $45K annual salary depending upon custodial, leadership and managerial experience. This individual will manage approximately up to 40 hourly employees on both first and second shifts. Part of the competitive compensation for this posiiton will be full benefits (1st of the month following 30 days employment) including medical, dental, vision, short and long term disability insurances, 128 hours annually of accrued paid time off, and etc. A company-paid cell phone and laptop are provided as technology tools. Depending upon account locations / logistics, a monthly vehicle allowance is provided to offset transportation costs up to $500 monthly.
Responsibilities
Preferred candidates will present strong experience in a service related industry and specific custodial managment experience. Successful candidates must have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate employees to do their very best. Also key are the ability to work independently, personal initiative, positive, can-do attitude and strong customer relations / service skills, as well as access to reliable transportation while possessing a valid driver's license. The position will include bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, a lot of walking and lifting up to 40 pounds. Successful candidtes will have a working knowledge of custodial and floor care duties as well as being comfortable with technology including computers, smart phones, I pads and microsoft based software systems. Daily cleaning is a part of this physically demanding position. Prior experience supervising and working in educational client facilities will be extremely beneficial in understanding business complexities and developing relationships with key business partners. Three years of previous supervisory experience is required. Successful candidates will be highly responsible, reliable, have strong attention to detail and the ability to motivate employees. This is a physically demanding positon and will include bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, a lot of walking and lifting up to 40 pounds. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Must be 18 years of age, pass a background check and drug screen.Additional Details
This full-time, permanent career opportunity works an eight to ten hour schedule daily as a salaried member of Vonachen Group's management team. Full training and custodial services accredidation in included as we continue our company growth and actively look to promote successful, productive team members.
The starting annual salary range for this opportunity is $40 - $45K and based on a forty-five hour weekly schedule. The work schedule will vary as needed between first and second shifts. A quarterly bonus program and monthly vehicle mileage allowance are included as a part of competitive compensation for this role
