Asked Questions

Why do clients hire the Vonachen Group?

We have prioritized People, Process and Outcomes to deliver exceptional service and memorable client experiences since 1968. Clients enjoy our stability, proactiveness, and flexibility in the partnerships we create. Over time, they become our greatest advocates because of the service we provide.

What will you do to make sure I always have the staffing I need?

We keep positions filled at levels significantly above industry norms with human resource (HR) specialists skilled at filling roles quickly and with the right talent. Our HR department never stops recruiting. We couple these efforts with competitive wages, excellent benefits, and opportunities for growth. Employees are given respect and empowered to excel in their roles. This helps us hire and retain the best professionals in the business.

What will you do to maintain a high level of safety within my facility?

We keep safety top of mind with a safety team that includes three Directors of Safety and a Field Training Manager. These professionals have diverse backgrounds in Occupational Safety and Risk Management and assist with training and compliance activities to reduce accidents and incident rates. Our executive leadership team reviews any reported safety occurrences on a weekly basis.

Employees obtain certifications on topics like fall protection, personal protective equipment, Globally Harmonized Hazard Communication, and Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response.

We also visit client facilities regularly to ensure safe practices are maintained. Our team meets with clients and safety contacts as needed and helps develop safety protocols.

We need staff trained to a very high level to protect the health and safety of building occupants. What will you do to make sure staff is fully trained for the job?

Our belief in education led us to create Vonachen University as a supplement to our on-the-job training curriculum. This tool delivers information on topics like personal protective equipment, proper lifting, industrial situational protocols, and equipment use and maintenance.

We enhance our employees’ education with industry certifications for their respective work. If they work in industrial, they get certified in forklift operation, lockout-tagout, aerial lifts, defensive driving, confined spaces, OSHA 10 and OSHA 30. Healthcare workers receive certificates in non-acute care cleaning (CNACC); trainer, certified surgical cleaning technician (T-CSCT); and trainer-certified health care environmental service technician (T-CHEST).

What steps do you take to limit the spread of healthcare associated infections?

We prioritize infection prevention and control to combat the rapid spread of healthcare associated infection. Employees are trained in cleaning and disinfection techniques to enhance service outcomes. Our inspections follow CDC-recommended Level I (image-based) and Level II (evidence-based) protocols, which include Third-Party Quality Assurance Inspections by AICS.

How will you keep me informed on new innovations or changes in the industry?

In an ever-changing industry, where timely information and solutions are required, we are our clients “go to” for mission-critical environmental and industrial service information. Whether it is performing dynamic risk assessments or benchmarking site-specific processes against industry best practices, our team brings our clients the latest market innovations and thought leadership. Our approach involves keeping clients informed and encouraging them to challenge the status quo.

How can I measure results against my KPIs?

We conduct daily, weekly and monthly inspections to measure service performance against KPIs, then share results on our proprietary dashboards to help our clients build predictive service and improvement strategies.
